University City Science Center 2022 Impact Report

BACKGROUND

The Science Center’s 2022 Impact Report, titled Powering Progress, outlined the organization’s efforts and accomplishments in refining their programs to work together seamlessly with the goal of powering progress—both in innovative technologies and improving regional communities and lives.

For the design, we wanted to explore different ways of expressing the idea of progress visually. On the cover, we created a graphic that combines a power symbol and a progress wheel with imagery of neon lighting to show the moment of spark that is a key part of what the Science Center does.

Throughout the report, we highlighted the electricity of the ideas inspired at the Science Center by adding in custom neon linework to featured images and image clusters.
