United Way of Greater Philadelphia & Southern New Jersey Website

United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey came to Untuck for help on a long-overdue website upgrade.

Not only was the website outdated and loaded with content that was hidden down rabbit holes that were hard to find even for employees, but United Way Worldwide was also making a shift in messaging and brand voice, so the timing was right for a full overhaul.

🏆 This website won a 2019 AIGA Philadelphia Design Award.

Among United Way’s top priorities were shifting the content of the website from organizational communications to cause-based marketing that would appeal to individuals.

In order to accomplish this, they also had to clearly communicate their mission and what it is that they do.

One of the ways in which we wanted to appeal to new and existing donors was to leverage the library stories of UW’s recipients, partners, donors and volunteers.

We designed a mega nav that showed the entire site architecture to make it easy to navigate.

We also focused on making the site engaging for users, utilizing United Way’s library of photography and prominently featuring stories throughout the site.
